Our environmental education program is lead by a dedicated environmental education teacher. Our students have Enviro Ed lessons each week. They also have the opportunity to get more involved with conservation by joining our Eco Team and Garden Club. Explore this page to learn more about our program.
Dirt Mum on Tour
# Dirt Mum (AKA Beth Healy) is a sustainability teacher from The Blue Mountains. We had the pleasure of welcoming her to our school and enjoyed being apart of her lessons on sunflowers and well-being. She was so enthusiastic in her video about our beautiful school garden.
Our Eco Schools Journey
Our Eco Schools journey began in 2019 with the support of Red Hill Environmental Centre. Eco Schools is an internationally recognised, sustainable environmental program, supported by the United Nations. It recognises schools across the world that are making a difference to the environment. They award schools a Bronze and Silver Medal for projects they do. The most esteem award is the Green Flag which our school has now been awarded. Cudgegong Valley Public School is now recognised across the world for our environmental programs.
